A Lifelong Commitment to Families
Growing up, family was at the center of everything. I lived with my parents and sister on the second floor of my grandparents’ home, surrounded by their unconditional love, support, and encouragement. That experience shaped my belief that family should always come first.
With my family’s support and encouragement, I attended Wesleyan University, played basketball, captained the 1982 team and was the first person in my family to graduate college. I then decided to go to law school and after earning my law degree from Suffolk University, I began my career as an associate in a general practice firm, gaining experience in multiple areas of law. However, everything changed when my grandfather passed away in 1985. Helping my grandmother organize her finances and estate plan showed me how powerful and necessary estate planning can be. The relief she felt during such a difficult time made it clear that I could make a significant impact by dedicating my career to estate and elder law planning.
I often say that I am a teacher and a coach who went to law school by accident. My passion is educating clients, guiding them and their families through the estate planning process, and ensuring their plans evolve over time. Estate planning isn’t just about legal documents, it’s about aligning assets and current circumstances so that their families are taken care of when it really matters.
