Estate Planning Should Not Be Overwhelming. We Are Here to Guide You

Most people put off estate planning because it feels confusing or time consuming. The real risk is not just delay. It is ending up with an outdated or incomplete plan when your family needs it most.

At Family Estate Planning Law Group, we take a different approach. Estate planning is not about filling out documents and walking away. It is about building a long-term relationship with you and your family so your plan works when it matters most.

Our Clear, Proven Process

  • 01
    Discovery Call (30 minutes)

We begin with a short phone or Zoom call to get to know you and your goals. During this call we learn about your family, values and priorities, answer your questions and help you understand what to expect next. By the end you will know how we work and feel confident about moving forward.

  • 02
    Initial Planning Meeting

Your next step is an in depth planning session (your Initial Meeting), usually about three hours. We take the time to understand your family, finances and long term priorities, then design a tailored estate plan in real time and guide you through each decision so you feel confident moving forward. Because we dedicate this time and expertise to your custom plan, we ask that you complete your search before this meeting.

  • 03
    Becoming a Client and Onboarding

If we both feel it is a good fit and you are ready to move forward, we will schedule your onboarding. Together we review and align your assets so your plan works as intended. This includes an Asset Alignment Review, a Signing Meeting to finalize your plan and an Asset Verification Meeting to ensure everything is set up correctly. Our team handles the details with care so you can feel confident your plan will work when it matters most.

  • 04
Ongoing Support Through the Generations Program

Estate planning is not a one time project. As life, laws and finances change, we stay connected through our Generations Client Care Program with regular check ins, coordination with your advisors and guidance whenever questions arise. Our goal is to keep your plan working for your family year after year.

Taking Control
of Your Future

When people think of estate planning, they often picture a stack of legal documents. In reality, it is about making sure your wishes are carried out and your loved ones are supported when it matters most. Here is a simple way to think about it. We often share this simple definition to help families think about estate planning in a clear and practical way.

“I want to control my property while I am alive and well, plan for myself and my loved ones if I become disabled, and then give what I have to whom I want, when I want, the way that I want, all at the lowest cost possible to me and to those I love.”

Without a solid plan, the courts, financial institutions, and government agencies may decide how your assets are managed, adding unnecessary stress and cost to your family. A well-structured estate plan ensures that:

  • You stay in control of your assets and well-being
  • Your loved ones receive the right support without unnecessary legal hurdles
  • Your wishes are honored in the most efficient, cost-effective way possible
