This spring, put some time aside to make a Family Binder.

What is a Family binder? A family binder is a binder where you keep any important information about you and your family.  It is important to have one in case of an emergency, so you can find any important information immediately or if you suddenly must leave your family, pets, and medical conditions in the hands of someone else.

Here are some ideas of things to include in your information binder:

  • Emergency contacts (name, relation, phone, address, number, email, social media) can include family members, friends, neighbors, teachers, coaches, etc.
  • Driver’s license
  • SSN cards
  • Passport numbers
  • Visa, immigration, and citizenship information
  • Birth certificates
  • Marriage license
  • Financial information
  • Bank information
  • Online usernames and passwords
  • Bills
  • Any medical conditions or allergies
  • Any medication
  • School information
  • Family schedules
  • Estate plan

Be sure to let your loved ones know about the binder and where it is in case it is ever needed. Clients, please be sure to add our information when making your information binder:
